Today at lunch there was a BBQ and ice cream sale. All proceeds are going to Relay for Life.

Anyone who has an Encounters with Canada application to pass in, please bring it to the office. This needs to be done so that we can schedule them for interviews.

Sonic wear will be on sale tomorrow in the lobby. Shirts are only $8, and hoodies and pants are going for $25. Get yours tomorrow!

A reminder to all Green Club members not to forget the pot luck on Friday at noon.

Attention cast of Guys and Dolls – photo CD’s and DVD’s were available in the lobby today at noon. See Mrs. Hill if you didn’t get yours.

Congratulations to Ethan Doney who was the winner of the cafeteria’s Slush Puppie prize. Ethan won a $20 Empire Theater gift card.

Attention grade 11 students – If you are interested in serving on Grad Class next year see Mrs. Gillies.

There was Grad choir practice today at noon and next Wednesday at 1pm at the church.

Anyone grade 10 or 11 students interested in ushering for 2010 graduation on Thursday June 24th , please see Mr. Huggard in room 2025.

Attention graduates – Please see Mrs. Gillies in the main office to purchase your Grad Dinner tickets. Tickets will be sold until Friday June 18.

ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE NOW DUE!!!!

Attention students – Next week, after exams, we are asking you to clean out your locker and return your lock to your period 1 teacher from 1st semester. Please place ALL garbage in garbage cans! Thanks for your help.

Mrs. Hill was in the lobby today at noon, collecting $10 for students who wish to attend the drama dinner Wednesday night. Nikki Ackerman will also be collecting. All money must be in by the end of the day to confirm numbers with Timberland.

There was a grad choir practice, a green club meeting and a yearbook meeting today at noon.

Calling all Beatles fans – The Sussex Middle and High school bands are playing a Beatles concert here in the theatre Tuesday night. Come out to support our SRHS talent.

Any grade 10 or 11 students interested in helping build a dance floor for the prom, please see Mme. Bonnell Wednesday at noon. We will pay you for your hard work.

Attention grads – your last chance to buy prom tickets is coming! Tickets will be on sale this Tuesday and Wednesday at noon for $12.50 each. You must have a ticket to attend the prom.

All cast, crew and production staff of Guys and Dolls, Improv, Get Your School Behind Your Pool, and Drama festival are invited to attend a dinner at the Timberland Restaurant Wednesday night at 6:30. Please pay your $10 to Nikki Ackerman or Mrs. Hill by Monday if you wish to attend.

There was a Relay for Life meeting today at noon in Miss. Stockton’s room.

Thanks to everyone who brought in money for the Relay for Life. The winner of the pizza party will be announced on Monday.

Students interested in joining yearbook are asked to attend a meeting at noon on Monday in Miss Stockton’s room.

This week’s Sonics of the Week are Mme. Betts’ period 3 class, Amy Adams, Josh Lutes, and Shannon McFarlane. Mme. Betts’ period 3 class is being celebrated for kindly collecting garbage off of the school yard and for helping to set up for the Relay for Life BBQ fundraiser. Amy Adams, Josh Lutes, and Shannon McFarlane are being celebrated for hosting the BBQ on Wednesday. Mme. Betts appreciates your help as does the SRHS school community. Thanks for all you do!

SRHS Band will be practicing after School Thursday until 4:30. The rhythm section will be staying until 5:15.

Mme. Betts’ advisory class are fair-weather chefs so the “Relay for Life” fundraising BBQ will be postponed until tomorrow. See you then!

Tickets for the Grad Dinner will go on sale beginning today until Thursday, June 17th. Tickets are $20 each. See Mrs. Gillies in the main office over the lunch hour to purchase your ticket.

Encounters with Canada applications are now available in the Guidance Centre. If you are interested in a week long opportunity to interact with other grade 11 and 12 students from across Canada studying themes ranging from Arts and Culture and Journalism to Sports and Fitness among many others than listen up!!! Pick up an application for a trip of a lifetime at the Terry Fox Centre in Ottawa. Deadline for applications is Wed., June 9th. For more information, check out the Encounters with Canada website.

This Sunday we are going to paint the new benches outside the school. If you are interested in helping us paint, we will be meeting here at SRHS at 10:30am. Any help is greatly appreciated! Let’s make our school beautiful just in time for prom.
