Well Sonics – this is the last announces for the 2011-2012 school year. On behalf of the entire staff here at SRHS, I would like to wish our graduates the best of luck in their post-secondary endeavors. Remember though – Once a Sonic, Always a Sonic. Go forth and make us proud. To those of you returning in the Fall, have a safe, fun and active summer. We’ll see you in September.

The year-end rugby banquet is being held next Friday, at Pizza Delight @ 11:30am. See you there!

Thursday June 7 2012

The boys rugby banquet has been postponed because of the grad potluck because of the grad potluck. It will be rescheduled to sometime next week. Please see Mr. Sherwood about a time and date that works for you.

The Encounters with Canada interviews will take place on Friday, June 8th in the afternoon. Please check the schedule in the Guidance Centre for your interview time.

Wendesday June 6th 2012

Lady Sonic Hockey players MUST return their hockey bag and jerseys to Mr. Leger’s room by Friday.

All library books must be returned as soon as possible before Friday.

Attention grade 10 students – Netbooks will be collected tomorrow. Be sure you have your netbook, its bag and the adapter here at school tomorrow.

Monday June 4th 2012

A small bike/4wheeler key was found in the parking lot at the front of the school this morning. If you think it is yours, you can claim it in the office.

If you have a library book from our library here at SRHS it MUST be returned right away.

Congratulations to Michael Phillips who received the gold medal for Senior boys 100 meter sprint at the NBIAA track and field provincials in Moncton this past Saturday. It was an extremely close race with an exciting photo finish decision. Also, congratulations to Ashley Black who qualified in shot put and Marty McKenna who qualified in Junior boys 400 meter sprint.

There will be a Bantam / Midget Girls Softball Practice tomorrow night from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the SRHS Gym. Any girls wishing to play summer softball are to come out to the gym tonight as we need to know numbers.

ATTENTION GRADUATES – If you have not paid your grad fees they are due THIS WEEK! All fees are due by this Friday. Any questions or concerns please see Mrs. Gillies.

Hey Sonics – Hawaii dress up day is Wednesday June 6th! Bring your straw hats and wear your flowered shirts and don’t forget your Sonic School Spirit!

The 8th Hussars Sports Center has been nominated to win $25,000, but we need nomination support to make it to the top 20, we are going to use it to improve equipment such as sound system and dressing rooms, but we need to get nomination support by June 10th.
