Attention Grads – There are two scholarships in the Guidance Centre right now – TD scholarship for Community Leadership and the Loran Scholarship. Both of these scholarships are based on community involvement, service and leadership. More information will be posted on The Guidance Wiki.
Grade 12 students: During the school year there will be post-secondary representatives come to our school to make presentations on their schools. Included in these presentations will be detailed descriptions of programs they offer, admission requirements, scholarships, employment opportunities, field placements, and campus life. We would like to give you the opportunity to take advantage of these visits. Whereas the presentations take an hour, you will only be allowed to participate in three presentations during the school year. Taking part in a presentation does not go against your attendance as it is part of the Comprehensive Guidance Curriculum. To participate in a session, you must sign up a day ahead. Your names will then be emailed to your teachers to indicate that you will be participating. No one will be permitted to sign up on the day of the presentation.
This Week:
Wed. Sept. 21st, Eastern College, formally known as Compu College, will be here during period 5 from 1:20 -2:20 pm. The presentation will take place in Mrs. Watters’ classroom, room 2094.
