Anonymous rehearsal today after school.

The boys hockey team will play their first game on Saturday against Carleton North High School. Game Time is 8:30pm. Good Luck Boys!!!!

There was a boys hockey meeting, a Reach for the Top practice, a dance committee meeting

The girls senior soccer team will travel to Fredericton to play FHS in the Southwest Regional semi finals. Game time is 10am Saturday morning at the new turf field off Kimble Dr. Good Luck Girls!!!

A reminder to Coop students – Monday is an In-School Day!

Best of luck to the football Sonics!!! They’re in St. Stephen tomorrow for the quarter-final playoff game. Kick off time is 1pm. GOOOOOO Sonics!

Improve team picture will be taken tomorrow immediately after the announcements in Miss MacLeod’s room.

Anyone interested in participating in “Trick or Eat” is asked to meet at the Tim Horton’s by McDonald’s on Sunday October 31st at 5:30pm.

There was a dance committee meeting in Miss Cook’s room and all Junior Varsity Soccer girls were invited to the culinary lab for a treat today at noon.

If anyone has found a black Palm Pre cell phone, please turn it into the office.

Your football Sonics are in St. Stephen this Saturday to face the Spartans in NBIAA football action. It is a quarterfinal playoff game and kickoff is 1pm.

In this edition, you will find information on Shad Valley, Groups, Career Counselling tools, Scholarship Information from Student Awards.com as well as upcoming events, such as: Take our Kids to Work, the Post Secondary Fair, and the Youth Forum.

The Sussex Regional High School Sr Girls Soccer team was blanked 3-0 by Rothesay Red Hawks last night (Nov. 25) in the South Region seeding match. The Sonics finished 3rd in the league but eliminated 2nd place KV High last week in semi final action. Rothesay and Sussex both advance to Regional playoffs Saturday.

JV Girls Basketball tryout tonight form 5:30 to 7:15 (This is a change from yesterday’s announcement). On Wednesday the tryout for JV Girls Basketball will go right after school.

The Grad Class of 2011 would like to thank ALL students and staff who participated in last night’s Spook Trail. With over 650 visitors it was an event well received. Thank you!

There was a Green Club meeting in Mme Bonnell-Walsh’s classroom after announcements at noon today.

ATTENTION PERFORMERS – Safe Grad is holding a variety show Thursday December 2nd and we are looking for performers. If you are interested, please see Mr. MacKay in Room 2097.

Are you buying a book form the September or October Scholastic Book flyer? Your order is due in the school library by Thursday and you can pay by cheque or cash. Orders from the November flyer will be collected at the end of next month.

There will be JV Girls Basketball Tryouts on Tuesday & Wednesday right after school from 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm.

All softball uniforms need to be returned by no later than tomorrow to Mr.Belyea.

There was a grad class meeting today at noon.

Just a reminder that tonight is Spook Trail, so come out and GET SPOOKED between 6-8pm.

The girls senior soccer team will be playing in the conference final today at 5pm. The game will be against Rothesay High at Arthur Miller field.

A reminder to all coaches and advisors that your team write up must be submitted by this Friday, October 29th.

There was a varsity girls soccer meeting, and a boys and girls hockey players meeting.

The Sonics boys were host to KVHS in the South Conference Semi Final. The Sonics dominated through the first half, but could not beat the Crusader’s goalkeeper. KV capitalized on a loose ball and scored the first goal early in the second half. The Crusaders went on to score a second goal and the game finished 2-0 for KV.

Your football Sonics take on the Harbour View Vikings tomorrow at 1pm in the final regular-season home game. Come out and cheer on your football team!

The football Sonics still need a timer for tomorrow’s game. Please see Mr. Titus if you can help out. We also still need a member of the “chain gang” on the sidelines. It pays $10. Again see Mr. Titus.

Congratulations to Ms. Earle’s advisory class. They raised $74 in the Advisory Challenge and were the top fundraiser to help support Breast Cancer Awareness. In total, between the Advisory Challenge, pink cupcakes and popsicles sales the Grad Class is donating $805.04. Way to go Sonics!

The SRHS Sr. girls soccer team defeated the KV Crusaders last night under the lights on the Usher Miller turf in an exciting 1-0 contest. The Sonics dominated possession from the onset giving few chances to the home team. Sarah Holt capitalized for the lone goal on a perfectly placed Madison Urquhart pass breaking through KVHS defensive line. Madeline Belding played a flawless game at keeper earning her 5th shut out of the season. Geena Oxford powerfully covered the free kick responsibilities. The Sonics eliminated Simonds earlier this week in quarter final play. Seeding games go Monday Oct. 25, with Regional’s hosted in Fredericton Oct. 30th.

There will be a tryout today right after school from 3:45 to 5:30 pm in the gym for all girls interested in playing JV Girls basketball this season.

There was a Green club meeting, a Drag team meeting, a Safe Grad meeting, and a Student Council meeting at noon today.

The football team is still in need of one student on as a sideline worker for this Saturday’s game. See Mr. Titus if you are interested. You’ll receive $10 for your efforts. The football team is also in need of a staff member to serve as a timer for Saturday’s game. Please contact Mr. Titus or Mr. Coughlan if you can help us out.

The final regular season football game of the year is on for this Saturday. Harbour View is the opposition and kickoff time is 1:00. Come out on a beautiful fall day and cheer on your Sonics! Good Luck Boys!

There will be a tryout tonight from 5:30 pm – 7:15 pm in the gym for any girls in grade 9, 10, 11, 12 interested in playing varsity girls basketball this season.

There will be tryouts this Thursday & Friday right afterschool from 3:45 pm to 5:30 pm for any girls who are interested in playing JV Girls basketball this season.

The boys soccer practice scheduled for today is cancelled.

The Sonics boys soccer team opened their playoff campaign with a win over Hampton on Tuesday evening. Nick Huggard scored in the first half. The second half saw scoring by Bart Pijnenburg and Nick Huggard added another. Final score was 3-0, Blair Doull was in goal for the shutout. Boys playoff action continues this Thursday here at SRHS field against KV. Kickoff is at 4:30.

There was a drag team meeting , and a field hockey team photo today at noon.

Students who would like to help with set work, please meet today after school in the art room.

There is a boys hockey practice tonight at 10pm.

SRHS Staff members – The football team is in need of a timer for Saturday’s game that begins at 1:00. Please see Mr. Titus or e-mail Mr. Coughlan if you are interested or need more information. Students we also need one worker for the sideline. Pay is $10. Please see Mr. Titus for more information.

There was a Tech Club meeting, and a Yearbook committee meeting today at noon.

There is a boy’s hockey practice this Wednesday night at 10pm.

For those students who signed up for the NBCC trip tomorrow, do not forget to turn in your money and parent permission form by noon today if you want to attend. Money and parent permission forms will not be accepted tomorrow.

Students who would like to usher Kidstuff Theatre tonight see Mrs. Hill.

Students who wish to help make sets for theatre shows – we will be working every Wednesday 3:30-5pm. Meet in the art room.

The varsity girls softball team and the Reach for the Top members met at noon today.

The football Sonics suffered a rough loss on Saturday losing 14-7 to KVHS. The Sonics return to action this Saturday – here – against the Harbour View Vikings in the last regular season game. Kickoff is at 1pm.

There will be a tech club meeting at 12:15 tomorrow.
