As a reminder to Grade 12 students, please pick up any transcripts you’ve requested within 24 hours. You are welcome to submit a request now for your year-end transcript–please clearly indicate on the form that it is to be sent in June at the end of the school year. The graduation week details are included in a handout from the assembly earlier this week. Additional copies are available in the office and it is also posted on our website in the “For Students, Families, and Communities” tab and “Information for Graduates 2013.”

Rugby season kicks off this Saturday in Hampton with the girls playing at 11 a.m. and the boys at 1 p.m.
The Grad Class will be holding auditions for singers from the 2013 class who would like to perform at the graduation events–sign up with Mr. MacEachern if you are interested.
The Girls’ Volleyball team travels to St. Malachy’s on Thursday and to the Miramichi Valley Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

Greetings to our Potential Graduates of 2013!
Our Grade 12 students were invited to an assembly this morning and received an outline of grad week activities including fees required to cover expenses. Extra copies are available in the office. A $30 grad fee is required for all students and there are other optional activities and purchases. Payment, in cash only, will be received in the school office beginning May 1. Please bring as close to or as exact change as possible as we do not keep a float in the school. We are proud of our Grade 12 students as they approach this final leg of their journey toward graduation, and we continue to encourage them to work hard and be safe as we approach this exciting milestone. NB-TAP gives students the opportunity to start their career training in high school through paid summer work terms and high school trade course electives that results in the completion of Apprenticeship Block 1 training hours. For more information and an application, please check out the following website: http://nbtap.ca/wp/ which will be posted in the Guidance Centre and visit a guidance counsellor. Intro to applied Technology is no longer needed in order to apply for summer positions. There will be a final meeting on Wednesday, May 1st at 12:20 pm for interested students with questions. Applications are due on May 2nd in the Guidance Centre.

Registration for Kings County Soccer Association’s summer season is this Wednesday April, 24th from 6-9pm at the 8th Hussars Sports center in Sussex. Come on out and register during this time to have a chance to win a free registration fee!! Soccer is a great way to keep your children moving during those summer months and will help them develop their skills in teamwork, sportsmanship and confidence! The Community registration will be a great way to check out what Sussex has to offer for your children’s summer holidays! Sussex Regional High School is hosting a French Playschool that we are calling, “Bonjour Mes Amis.” Students in Early Childhood Services will teach your child about colors, numbers, greetings, animals and objects in French through the use of songs, stories and games. The weekly program starts Wednesday, May 1 and will continue until June 5. Space is limited to 20 children ages 4 and 5 (not yet in school). The cost is $10 which will cover the cost of snacks. IMPROV practice is from 3:30 to 5:30 pm on Thursday after school in the theatre–everyone is welcome!
The Grad Class meeting will be next Wednesday–members are asked to bring a list of volunteers to be celebrated.
The SRHS IMRPOV will be putting on a IMPROV Extravaganza at 12:30 in the theatre next Wednesday. For 50 cents, you will have a chance to see a really great show! See you then.
