The Lady Sonics won on Saturday night with a 4-0 shutout of the St. Stephen Spartans! Everyone contributed an excellent effort in the win! Tonight the Lady Sonics face off, on the road, against Rothesay Netherwoods! Go Sonics!
The Lady Sonics travelled to St. Stephen on the weekend to participate in the 21st Rotary Basketball Tournament. The girls went undefeated in the Round Robin defeating Calais 71-43 and St. John High 75-41. In the semi-final they defeated Harbourview High to the tune of 87-56. In the Championship the girls played with great determination and ended up on the winning end of a 58-53 score against Calais High. Madeline Belding has an excellent tournament and was selected tournament MVP. Sussex game stars were Sarah Holt, Sarah Meehan and Courtney Clement. Taneesha Dalling received an honorable mention for her all round play. This Wednesday the girls host FKHS in an all important league game. Game time is 7:15.

The varsity boys Sonics won their first game of the year 7-5 against Simonds High on Saturday night. Jed Tiny Webster and Mark Tabor both had two goals each in the win. Evan Gass and Nick de Winter had singles and Jared McKenna had an empty netter. The boys next game will be tonight in Simonds. Good luck Guys!

Attention Sonics – Our drama team has put together 2 student directed shows with a guest appearance form the Improv team that are being performed this Friday @ 7pm. Tickets are $5 at the door. You don’t want to miss this exciting night!
