Congratulations to the SRHS Curling team of Daniel McCullum, Susan Buck, Marty McKenna and Jillian Parlee who won their game last night by a score of 8 to 4. Way to go Sonics!

There was a brief SRHS Band meeting, gingerbread cookie decorating and present guessing today at noon.

Sonic Boys Hockey game vs Hampton tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm here in Sussex. Come cheer them on! Thickets for Shoot for the Loot were sold today at noon.

This is a reminder to the Leadership Team that your pink planning pages are due no later than this Friday December 23rd at 11am to Mrs. Hayes. If you are not coming tomorrow, please make sure you pass them in today.

Sonics Boys Hockey game Friday at 1:00pm against Hampton.

MERRY CHRISTMAS SRHS! Just a reminder that Teen Snack and Yack is this Thursday at Higher Life Christian Centre. Come for a free hot Christmas Diner. Snack & Yack this Thursday, from 3pm-5pm, at 594 Main Street.

There is Band practice today after school in the Music room.

There was a yearbook committee meeting, and a varsity girls soccer meeting today at noon.

Mr. Rioux is offering help to any grade 11 or 12 student who are rewriting the reading section of the ELPA tomorrow and Thursday at noon in his classroom.

Sonic hockey boys were trampled Saturday night 13-3 by Rothesay High. Scoring for the Sonics was Mitchel Parlee, Jeremy Vincent and Andrew Gass.

There was an eggnog chug and a Safe Grad meeting today at noon.

The SRHS Girls Hockey Game tomorrow Night is cancelled. St. Stephen does not have enough players to field a team. This will be a practice time instead.

Hey Sonics – Don’t forget to bring your Santa hat or reindeer antlers to wear on Monday.

Sonic boys hockey team plays this Saturday at 8”30 at home! Come out and support your fellow Sonics!

This Saturday at 4pm the Saint John Vito’s will be in town. Come out to support former Sussex Minor hockey player Matt Allan and the Saint John Vito’s as they take on the Charlottetown Islanders. Anyone wearing a Sussex Jersey will receive free admission. Please bring a non-perishable food item for the Sussex Food Bank.

The Sonic boys basketball team defeated St. Macs 93-57. Scorers for the Sonics were Nick Huggard with 35, Ryan Palmer with 20 and Bandon Moore and Marcus Robinson chipped in with 10 each. The boys are off to the St. Stephen tournament this weekend. Best of Luck Sonics!

THE SRHS STORE IS HOLDING A HUGE ONE DAY SALE TOMORROW, THURSDAY DECEMBER 15TH. ALMOST ALL THEIR PRODUCTS WILL BE MARKED DOWN. THE STORE WILL BE OPEN TOMORROW AT NOON AND AFTER SCHOOL UNTIL 5:30. SCHOOL WEAR MAKES A GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT.

The Sonics basketball teams are in need of clock operators for games this week. There are games every day for the rest of the week so if you are available please see Mr. Barton in the gym area.

Attention Grads of 2012 – Semi-formal tickets are on sale in the lobby second half of lunch until Friday. Cost is $8 per grad and $20 for grad with non-grad date.

There was a yearbook meeting at noon.

The JV boys and Varsity boys basketball team play at home tonight against St. Macs. Game times are 5:30 for the JV Boys and 7:15 for the Varsity Boys. Admission is $1. We would love to see you here tonight.

SRHS band practice is Tuesday and Wednesday ater school – 3:30 to 4:45.

Candy Cane Grams will be sold all this week in the lobby for 50 cents. Be sure to buy one for your friends or that special someone. All proceeds will be going to Safe Grad.

Attention Graduates – this is a very important reminder that grad write ups, baby pictures, and yearbook superlatives are due this Friday, December 16th. Send them to sussexyearbook2012@gmail.com or leave in the office.

All the students involved with Encounters with Canada please submit your write ups for the yearbook to Mme Betts.

Anyone interested in helping with the 2012 Prom must see Mme Bonnell-Walsh.

Improve is cancelled for today.

The varsity girls basketball team travelled to St. Sthphen this weekend to play in their tournament and defeated Saint John High in the finals 37-44. Way to go girls!

Sonic hockey boys were defeated in a hard faught battle by hampton Saturday night. Scoring for the Sonics were Mitchell Parlee, Andrew Gass, Jeremy Vincent, and Jed Webster. The final score was 5 to 4. Their next game is tonight at Somonds at 6:30.

There was a football meeting today at noon and there will be a Britney Spears Musical rehearsal today after school.

A reminder to Coop students that Monday Dec 12th is an in-school day.

Congratulations Sonics! The Christmas care drive was a huge success! Together we raised $655 and over 1000 food items. Check out the TV in the lobby for the winning advisory.

If anyone has found a gold medical alert bracelet (a VERY important piece of jewelry) please bring it to the office so it can be returned to its rightful owner.

Safe Grad’s annual Boy Toy Auction will take place Thursday December 15th at 12:30 in the theatre! Admission is 25 cents. Be sure to bring lots of money to buy your special boy toy!
