Are you presently in grade 11 and looking for an adventure next year? How about spending a week at the Terry Fox Centre in Ottawa meeting new people from across Canada and learning about a topic that interests you. Come to the Guidance Centre to learn more information and pick up an application form for The Encounters with Canada program.
Grade 12 students who have paid their Grad Fees, please come tomorrow at lunch time to pick up your floor tickets. If you haven’t paid, please come do so as soon as possible.
Grade 10 students, don’t forget your netbook, power cord, carry bag, and strap. Your classes will be called tomorrow morning and early afternoon to return these in the school library.

Floor tickets for Graduation will be distributed on Wednesday at noon for those who have paid their Graduation Fees. Thank you!
Students who wish to play High School Football next year are to come for a brief but important meeting in Mr. Coughlan’s Room 1128 on Tuesday, June 4.

Are you disappointed you didn’t get a yearbook? You may be in luck. There may be just a few yearbooks left after the distribution tomorrow. See Ms. Betts to sign up for the waiting list!
Grade 12, check the Guidance website! All the scholarships for the month of June, July, and August have been converted to Word documents so you shouldn’t have difficulty opening these. Watch the deadlines!
If you have been accepted for the Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Media Arts, Computer Science, Information Systems, and Engineering Programs from UNB, UNBSJ, Mount A, or U of M, please see Ms. Byers. There is an opportunity for an $8000 scholarship over 5 years and full-time summer employment. Pick up an application from Guidance!

Attendance exemption forms are available in the office — they are to be returned by next Monday, June 3, at 1 p.m.
Just a reminder to all that tomorrow, Tuesday, May 28, is Fine Arts Night beginning at 6:30 for the gallery (lobby and balcony!) viewing. At 7:15, we will move into the theatre for an excellent showcase of student talent you won’t want to miss.
The Grad Class Music Committee meet on Wednesday at 12:15 to hear final auditions.

Next week is Disability Awareness Week in New Brunswick. This year’s theme is “Ready and Able to Work.” The Walk and Roll Challenge will take place on Friday, May 31. The students are participating in a daily contest–listen closely to the announcements.
All Grade 9, 10, and 11 students interested in playing football in the fall, please sign on the sheet in the bulletin board today (announced Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday).

Yearbook staff will meet after school today at 3:30. Those planning the distribution party will meet briefly tomorrow in Room 1121 at 12:15 p.m.
This Friday is Cowboy/Cowgirl day! Yeeehaaaaw!

Students in the Learning From Your Own Backyard group continue to enjoy nature in our backyard. They will meet tomorrow at 12:15 in the art room. Please see the beautiful tree photo in the announcement video by one of these students.
Students who applied for the Yearbook Committee, please meet in Mme Betts’ room at 12:15 on Wednesday.
There will be a short Prom meeting at noon on Wednesday in Room 1194.
Next Tuesday is Fine Arts night. Students, if you have artwork for hanging, please see Ms. Hill or Ms. MacEachern as soon as possible.

This is a reminder to Grade 12 potential graduates:
We have been collecting grad fees for the last two weeks–thank you to those who have paid their fees. We will be collecting fees until the end of May. If you have misplaced the details, there is a paper copy available in the office and on the school website under “For Students and Families” then “Information for Graduates.”
For students who have purchased a yearbook:
We will have a yearbook signing party on May 31st during period 4. Bring you favorite pen to the courtyard (grades 9, 10, 11 during first half; grads during second half). This event is only for students who have already purchased a yearbook.
New this year : Every student who purchased a yearbook will have access to an online TIME CAPSULE. Even though the final yearbook pages are submitted, our yearbook staff can capture images from prom, spring sports and graduation and upload them to the Time Capsule until June 30th, when it locks forever.
The Time Capsule allows yearbook buyers to make photo slideshows for graduation parties and class reunions.
Users can also personalization their Time Capsule profiles by entering information about school year activities, jobs, friends and more……. Your access code will be in your yearbook.
